Manchester Jazz Festival Rebrand

As the days tick down to the 15th Manchester Jazz Festival (23-31 July), the festival branding is looking particularly vibrant thanks to a recent rebrand by Portfolio.
To win the pitch, we took the normal Portfolio approach of getting under the skin of the job and hit the streets to ask people what they thought of Jazz and the festival:
From our research and a day with jazz on Spotify, we came up with the * concept: using an asterisk to challenge people’s perception of jazz, alert them to the wide varieties of music that falls under the jazz banner and say to them: find your jazz*
With a brochure, website, t-shirts and stationery already in the post.. it’s time to knuckle down to the final banners before the saxophones start!
