Portfolio Case Study: Greater Manchester Connexions Brand Development

Following Portfolio’s widespread public sector work, we were asked to develop a brand for the Greater Manchester Connexions Partnership – the organisation responsible for co-ordinating the 10 local areas. Connexions involve young people at every stage and as such our solution needed to consider views of the target audience, 13-19 year olds.

Our proposal therefore incorporated consultation with groups of young people from Greater Manchester, the various character designs, a high profile outdoor campaign, radio adverts, websites and a full suite of printed literature. Portfolio was also commissioned to carry out some research of the brand to assess awareness levels, brand association, understanding and service feedback. The findings then formed the basis of the following years marketing focus.
