It was an absolute pleasure and honour to share yesterday evening with royalty, in the company of non other than ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish.
Marc and James both attended the event, pictured with former LFC players David Fairclough and Phil Neal and the European Cup, now residing in its rightful home as the most successful English club in European competition. Kenny isn’t one for doing these kind of events, so when the opportunity arose we jumped at the chance of going to see the man behind the legend.

Kenny Dalglish took to the stage in a Q&A style format in front of a packed room of 400+ die-hard reds fans to talk about his life as a player and manager at Liverpool Football Club. A very humble man, Kenny didn’t disappoint with his stories and dry humour that had the room laughing the whole way through. What is notable about the man, aside from his amazing talent as a footballer and manager, was the sheer amount of work that he does for charities and in the local community, raising over £9 million to date for his wife, Marina’s charity that has helped to build Cancer treatment centres in Merseyside.

Football banter and rivalries aside, I think everyone is in agreement that its about time that his contributions to football and charities should be recognised with an honour.

Great evening all round!
