A big congratulations to our Head of Creative services Darren on completing his 5th consecutive Ironman UK.

Darren completed this year’s course, which consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle and a 26.2 mile run, in 13 hours and 31 seconds!

This was an incredible achievement given that he had completed triathlon Windermere X, billed as being the world’s toughest extreme triathlon, just three weeks before. This saw Darren swim twice round Seamew Crag Island, followed by a cycle of all passes in the Lake District, which appear on the route of the infamous Fred Whitton challenge. The final trek of the triathlon is a marathon run back to the top of Scafell Pike via Elterwater and Great Langdale. Jeez, we’re tired just writing that out!

Well done Darren!
